Mr. Ridenhour started in the association business in 1997 as the CEO of a medium sized statewide trade association. Seeking a challenge, Mr. Ridenhour took the task to remake the association, put in management structure, redevelop and focus the staff, solve the financial disaster that was in play, and create valued member programs. In this process, Mr. Ridenhour had the opportunity to utilize his skills in rebuilding every area of the association, for example, instituted strategic planning, reinvented the association with a new image, used the media to get out the association’s message, created a web site, created education programs, redeveloped a national trade show, created a foundation, created a for profit entity, developed a number of non-dues revenue programs that provided valued services, created a certification program, designed technology to automate the office, and developed a strong governmental affairs program, etc.
Mr. Ridenhour has previously worked for a statewide elected official and has lobbied in Missouri since 1992. He is a graduate of Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri with an accounting and business degree.
Mr. Ridenhour started Ridenhour Management Services a decade and a half ago that provided services to not for profit organizations. He has had trade association, fraternal associations and high end homeowners' association clients over the years. Mr. Ridenhour stopped taking clients in 2017 while he wound down the business and formally retired in 2020.
Mr. Ridenhour has several credentials and awards to his name. He has served as the president of a national trade association; serves on the board of the Missouri Society of Association Executives; is a Certified Association Executive; was a licensed health, life, property, and casualty insurance agent; is a registered lobbyist; and has served and serves on numerous boards, commissions, and associations. Mr. Ridenhour has been awarded the community’s 40 under 40 award, Rotarian of the Year, honorary alumni of the University of Missouri, and numerous fraternal awards for his service. Mr. Ridenhour was also President of the Jefferson City Rotary Club.
Mr. Ridenhour started a housing organization a decade ago that owns rental property in Fulton, Missouri. The housing organization continues and is his retirement project.
